Today's to be the informal get together and Dave and Jeannie's house and maybe get a chance to do some hands on stuff.

As we were pulling in we saw the car that wrecked yesterday and it didn't look nearly as bad as it did with a tree buried in its nose.

Anyway, the project of the day was to get the 928 Specialists Supercharger kit installed on Andrew's car. We were a little late after sleeping in and by the time we got there, they already had the new blower unit installed and were fitting the intake and intercooler and running hoses and lines. Little did I know at that point that 7 hours later the car would still be in progress. Of course it's times like this where all the little things here and there coalesce and sure enough one thing after another popped up. The reward however was the sweet whine that only a supercharger could make, or I suppose as Ernest said, a bad alternator... :-)

I was glad we stuck around till near the end though. We at least got to hear the engine fire up and saw them doing some tuning on it, though we missed the test drive. And with that we said our goodbye's to everyone and headed out.

Food for the day was rather uninteresting:

Blah breakfast buffet at the hotel. And by the way, shame on the group of five 928'ers who didn't tip the waitress at all, even if it was a buffet. That was pretty cheesy.

Lunch was pizza at Dave and Jeannie's.

Dinner was the Spruce Pine Hardee's and then back to the hotel. Dan drove the twistys in the dark back and it was quite interesting.
