We started out a little late but hey, we’re on vacation. 

 

It was a hot one, we hit the road and ran from Louisville to Lexington, then stopped for breakfast at a Waffle House, not the one we loved 2 years ago but we were too hungry to drive the extra hour.  Must get the waffle if you stop in there, very good  with a nutty undertone, walnut maybe?

 

From there it was down to Knoxville, then East toward Banner Elk.

 

The car died 3 times in the last 30 miles getting to the hotel, ran fine right up until then.  We checked in and chatted with some of the folks, came up with at least 3 possible causes, no consensus..  but at least we have some things to check if it happens again.

 

Hotel pizza in North Carolina is a BIG mistake, don’t do it..  nuff said.  Our fault, since we got there just as the restaurant was closing.  We should have gone out and foraged something better.
