Picnic day
We decided the buffet looked especially lame this morning and decided to try some place else to eat, especially since we so enjoyed the pizza they made last night - not. Went to the Banner Elk Café which is really cool, 2 levels of deck between 2 buildings, covered and heated with roll up walls. I had a very nice omelet and Mike had steak and eggs brought to us by the lovely Kiimia who taught us a word in Persian (her name).
We drove up to the mountain and enjoyed a great picnic, it was really hot though, well over 90 degrees. Since we had a late breakfast we were late getting to the lunch line, had the usual wonderful BBQ sammiches with great sides. We missed out on Jeannie’s Teeny Weenies in BBQ sauce though, they always go really fast.
A nice drive thru some rain to the dinner restaurant, then back to the hotel for a cool off swim before hanging out at the tiki bar for a while before crashing.
