6/2  First Day, home to Louisville

We started out around noon from Mike’s house, a little late but hey, we’re on vacation.

Lots of traffic all the way, we didn’t make great time this day, didn’t need to since we were only going part way anyway.

We decided to stop in Louisville for the night, we hadn’t stopped there in 2 years and we wanted to see if it was as friendly as we remembered it.

We found a Holiday Inn on the East side of town that was very nice.  Brand new with a nice warm pool and a free breakfast.  We both got huge rooms, almost suites with good high speed internet access.  Jenny at the front desk took really nice care of us, from the phone call to dinner suggestions.

We unpacked and cleaned up, then had a nice relaxing swim before dinner.

We went to Hooters of Louisville for dinner, Laura was our server, she’s a little cutie but we’d have to say not a great waitress, she was hanging with a couple tables of locals and we felt semi-ignored, another girl brought us our food but she just set it down and ran off too.  (We did get there really late, it was an hour later then it felt for us because of the time zone change.)

We then drove up into the heart of town for some entertainment, we stayed until they kicked us out at 4 in the AM.
