The picnic was great, we had over 80 cars there and the day was mostly sunny but not too hot.  Food was wonderful as always, good pulled pork sandwiches with all the normal picnic addons and of course a big pot of teeny weenies in BBQ sauce that Jeannie makes every year.

After the picnic we took a nice long tour down some of the highways in the area on the way to dinner.  I was running a little too fast coming into a downhill hairpin where there was a van coming the other way and I ended up on some gravel and couldn’t keep from rubbing the guardrail a little.  Here is a pic of the damage, ouch.  Nothing serious, minor bodywork and paint I think, didn’t even break the marker light.

We all went to Little Siena for a nice buffet dinner, prime rib and a bunch of trimmings.

We went to Dave and Jeannie’s after dinner, there were over 50 928s parked all over their compound, on the grass and in all the driveways, anywhere flat enough to hold one.  Mike and I were so burned out from our day in the sun that we took off early (around midnight) and headed back to crash.
