Last day of the trip, second day that I got to sleep in this week, woohoo.
We hit the road looking for some food since we slept thru the free food at the hotel. We drove a little in the wrong direction chasing a billboard that looked like Hooters, then headed west to Lafayette, IN. We were inspired by the billboard and looked up (thanks again MapPoint) and there is a Hooters in Lafayette so we headed there. Lunch was good, standard Hooters fare (why can't we get fried pickles in Chicago?). The girls were kindof distracted and busy cleaning up after lunch so we didn't get nearly the amount of quality Hooters-Girl time that we wanted. We had Lisa (Louise?) as our girl and she was really cute, just wish we'd seen her a little more often.
Headed up 65 toward the city and just rolled for a couple hours, we were chasing a thunderstorm which would have been good to reduce the heat. It dropped 20 degrees over a few miles as we passed the storm, then climbed right back up as we left it behind us.
The only other interesting thing that happened was that the car had an issue staying running once we were within a mile of Mike's house. it would start but needed a lot of throttle to keep running and even then sometimes it would die. It almost felt like a slug of bad fuel to me. After sitting for a while while we unpacked Mike's stuff and chilled at his house for a while it started and ran fine all the way to my house. Weirdness abounds, she's going in for brakes in a few days, I'll ask them to check for error messages in the computer while they are in there.
That's all for now.
