Mike's Photo Gallery

Ok, I have a lot of pics; around 300, so I'm only going to put a sampling out here. If you want to see if I have a specific pic or you're interested in the RAW photo, please email me with the photo number.

I LIKE IT! But... Would I want someone trying to read this while I'm on their tail??? Think Not

Dan's 928 in the hotel lot.

Blasphemous and sacrilegious are a couple of the comments I heard about this LT4 corvette motor in this shark.

So it starts the morning of the picnic... In the hotel parking lot.

Very nice looking.

Serenaded by the Scot's! Not sure why these guys were at the hotel but thought it was quite neat when this gentleman whips out his case and plays a few.

Leaving for the picnic on Grandfather Mountain.

Famous German proverb, I'm sure... "What's behind me-ist-not-so important... unless it's another 928!"

Dan having fun driving up GfM.

At the picnic. This is Dave's Euro. Artwork by Dru Blair www.drublair.com

I couldn't help myself taking a bunch of shots like this. It just looks so good. And they lined us up instead of ad-hoc, the years before.

Brett's yellow/black bumble bee. Unfortunately had some exhaust issues on the drive.

Samantha's gorgeous rare Iris Blue GTS (auto) and winner of the SITM 05' concours.

Imagine Samantha's surprise when the 'OTHER' Iris Blue GTS (5spd) shows up...

How many candlepower DOES a glow in the dark frisbee throw out???

Twin Turbo power by Kuhn...And aside from the intercooler pipes poking out from under the nose and a couple hoses by the intake... Unnoticeable

This engine compartment is meticulous.

Greg Schickel's GTS (and SITM 04' concours winner) with Silicone air intake tubes.

Jeannie and helper (sorry, I can't remember her name) getting ready for the "C'mon ya'll we're giving out free stuff" raffle.

Wally and Dave going over some toys. Bummer they weren't part of the raffle!

Dave and Jeannie of 928 Specialists getting a congratulations and memento plaque for going above and beyond the call of duty.

I can't resist these shots... Red... Shiny... Pretty...

Dan's 91 928GT, DA SHARK. Still the only Cobalt Blue 928 I've seen. It's a beauty.

Sharks circling the track

Heading out of Grandfather Mountain to dinner. And a whole mess-o-sharks are hungry for some open road.

"It's not a convoy, it's a dream..."

I really like taking pics of these cars driving through the mountains.

This next group of four is my postcard bunch.

I think this is my favorite scenery shot.

Oops. Looks like some sharks missed the turn. One of too many detours, unfortunately due to road washout's and construction.

THE Guardrail

Dan's baby's bruised. You know how you're supposed to hit a shark on the nose to get it to go away? Pretty sure it didn't work as guardrail repellent.

Believe me when I say, Dan did an AWESOME job of saving the car. Considering how we could've slammed into the guardrail or THROUGH it, we were lucky.

Poor Thor all tuckered out...

...Tuckered out at least until James was around to play with!

A/C tech session. Wally is surely the master and sure knows how to test that vacuum pump, eh?

Chris's patriotic beast in the back of Dave and Jeannie's compound. And yes that is grass on the roof of that section of house.

Replacing the water pump in the compound driveway. Just remember what Wally said about turning the engine backwards. Don't do it!

Another shot I really like.

Well, we weren't the only one's to get bent up. Samantha's other car (she wasn't driving) had a battle with a tree. Not too bad considering...

SITM 2005 O'fficially over. Headed home!
