This was our first day of sailing, after driving 12 hours yesterday... we got in at midnight.. The lecture part of class this morning was very tough, but then we went out and sailed and that was fun. The wind died in the afternoon and instead of fighting it we decided to do some more lecture then sail first thing tomorrow since there is more reliable wind in the morning. The bad part was trying to stay awake in a lecture after being out in the wind and sun for a few hours, we tried, we really tried. We promised Cliff we'd be much better after a good night's sleep.
This is the boat we are learning on http://www.colgate26.com/gallery.htm, it's a 26 footer, draws 4'6" and turns on a dime.
After sailing I needed to get to Verizon so they could update my roaming lists in my phone, I wasn't getting local service, my phone had been roaming since I left Chicago. The Verizon office was packed, and they said it would take an hour, luckily there was a Crabby Bills across the street, so we had dinner while we waited.
Note on the hotel, the shower is like a firehose, I love it, I may go back and take another one. Best shower pressure ever, hands down.
