Finally a vacation morning we could sleep in.. ahh..
It felt so good to slack I just grabbed a book and stayed in my room with the patio door open reading, I wanted to give my skin a chance to recover a little before I went out in the sun anyway. So far the only really pink spot is the tops of my knees, from sitting in the sailboat, I put 15 on, but it must have rubbed or sweated off.
Went down for breakfast about 2, I had a chicken bacon cheese sandwich at Bahama Mama's, mmm.
I headed back for my room and slept for a couple hours more, then read and watched the beach from my balcony.
Around 8PM Carlos Hernandez (928 guy who lives in the area) called and said he was off work and wondered if he could stop by and have a drink or maybe dinner with us, I walked over to Mike's room and he was up for it so we gave Carlos directions to the hotel.
We went to the Hurricane, a seafood restaurant, unfortunately the hurricane lookout deck (roof top bar) wasn't open because it was raining, so we ate inside. we had pearls something, water chestnuts and scallops wrapped in bacon for an appetizer, and I had the coconut shrimp with key lime pie for desert. it was around 10 before we got back to the hotel, Carlos had to drive to the far side of Tampa and had to get up early to go to work in the morning, so he had to take off. We made plans to have dinner at a great steak place over in Tampa Monday night, hopefully with Samantha (928 girl who also lives in the area).
