Got up semi-early today, went down to the beach shack at 9:00 and signed up for the 1:30 snorkeling trip.  Then back to the hotel to rest.  It was a wonderful lazy day, wandered down to the lobby and waited for the vehicle from the snorkel place, a truly unique machine, it started life as a van, but most of the roof and sides were chopped off, and benches were put in down the sides and there was a cabana topping it.  I think Mike summed it up, not as far as its artistic value, but mechanically, "this really is a piece of shit."  I was surprised it ran as well as it did, no effort wasted on the cosmetics, but it is obviously mechanically maintained more than outward appearance would imply.

Got to the dock and the rest of the snorkelers were already aboard, there were 3 couples and 6 babes from Clearwater, ahh.  We got aboard and they headed out, the trip was to an island where there are some forts from the Spanish-American War.  It turned out that the snorkel trip also included an hour of land exploration, we only had our water sandals, not really prepared for a lot of walking but we managed to check out the forts pretty well as well as some of the beach.  There were about a hundred boats pulled up having picnics and such, we ran into some other folks while checking out the forts, mike was snapping pics pretty quick there.  When we got back on the boat we headed out to another fort that was pretty much submerged, most everyone got wet and started checking it out, visibility was probably 8-10 feet, but actually reduced by the number of fish that were schooling around.  I had picked up an underwater camera, I shot most of it underwater, we'll see if any of the pics come out decent.

Went back to Crabby Bill's for dinner, since lunch yesterday was so good, we had calamari and oysters Rockefeller for appetizers, then I had to try the corn and crab chowder and Mike had to have another 6 oysters Rockefeller, then we both ordered Miss Delores's fried fish platter, a whole bunch of fish and shellfish, fried oysters, clam strips, shrimp, grouper, and something else I can't remember.  We ate until we couldn't eat anymore, there was still plenty on the plate when she took it away, it made me sad, but I just couldn't eat any more.  The Oysters Rockefeller and calamari were outstanding, the grouper was wonderful and so were the shrimp, the rest was all very good.  The staff there was top notch, both at the bar and at the table, Cat took care of us at the bar, where we ordered drinks and appetizers, but we were seated before the appetizers arrived, she came out and found us in the dining room and delivered them.  Jodi was our waitress and came by frequently to make sure everything was right.

Entertainment wise it was also a pretty good day, while we were on our way to dinner there was a couple getting married, they must have kissed while we were walking in, because everyone on the porch of the restaurant cheered and after dinner we were just in time for the sunset across the ocean.
